A database of 100 points was used to classify IWQ which results from a total of six parameters :

• Electrical Conductivity: EC (µs/cm)
• Soduim Adsorption Ratio: SAR
• pH
• Chloride (mg/l)
• Nitrate-Nitrogen: NO3 (mg/l)
• Bicarbonate: HCO3 (mg/l)
• Trace Element Toxicity

The six water parameters were chosen according to the method suggested in Simsek and Gunduz (2007) .

The 100 point index can be divided into several ranges corresponding to the general descriptive terms shown in the table below.
